· Accelerating healthcare innovation, Lunit’s AI solutions for chest x-ray and mammography analysis will be integrated into the national cancer and tuberculosis screening program

. Seha Virtual Hospital aims to elevate patient examinations and enhance screening program efficiency through the adoption of Lunit’s cutting-edge AI-powered technologies

In a strategic collaboration, Seha Virtual Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has opted for Lunit’s AI technology to enhance cancer screening, seamlessly integrating artificial intelligence with medical care. This partnership aligns with the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative, geared towards elevating healthcare standards in Saudi Arabia. AI tools like Lunit INSIGHT CXR for chest X-rays and Lunit INSIGHT MMG for mammograms will be deployed and tested at SVH.

Post-validation, these AI enhancements are slated for implementation across more than 170 medical centers in Saudi Arabia as part of a national program for cancer and tuberculosis screening. Established just last year, SVH is acclaimed as the world’s largest virtual hospital, extending medical support to approximately 480,000 patients annually across 170 hospitals.

The integration of Lunit’s INSIGHT package into SVH’s virtual cancer detection workflow aims to furnish patients with advanced diagnostic examinations, enhancing the efficiency of the national screening program. This collaboration leverages AI-powered solutions to elevate cancer diagnostics and improve patient outcomes. Brandon Suh, CEO of Lunit, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are excited to collaborate with Seha Virtual Hospital to revolutionize cancer diagnosis in Saudi Arabia. Given the substantial medical market in Saudi Arabia, this partnership will enable us to reach a broader audience. Our mission is to offer our intelligent AI solutions to healthcare providers in the Middle East, ultimately benefiting patients and contributing to the fight against cancer.”

SVH has effectively utilized Lunit INSIGHT CXR during the Hajj season, identifying chest anomalies among two million pilgrims from 160 countries, effectively containing the spread of diseases. This use case underscores the potential of AI solutions in supporting healthcare professionals during critical situations.

Originally founded in Seoul, South Korea, Lunit has extended its partnerships to include SVH, building upon prior collaborations such as the BreastScreen program in Australia last year and Capio St Göran Hospital in Sweden last month.
