New Dubai Hospital Sets the Standard for Medical Tourism

The new Medcare Royal Hospital – poised to redefine medical tourism in the UAE. Strategically located in Al Qusais, the hospital aims to cater to the specific needs of Dubai’s medical tourists.

 

Constructed by Dubai Developments, the 126-bed medical center spans 334,736 square feet and marks the fourth in Dubai and fifth in the UAE, complementing the existing 20 Medcare Medical Centres. The facility includes a six-storey parking garage and a three-storey core hospital structure.

 

The hospital will open by the end of December 2023, as per the agreement signed on July 5th, 2023, between Aster DM Healthcare and Dubai Developments.  

 

Engr. Essa Al Maidor, Director General of Dubai Developments, emphasised the hospital’s commitment to meeting the healthcare needs of the UAE population while enhancing the overall patient experience.

 

Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare, highlighted the surge in demand for specialised medical care in Dubai. He emphasised Dubai’s growing popularity as a medical tourism hub, given its strategic location and accessibility to the Middle East, North Africa, and Africa.

 

Addressing the need for advanced medical services, Dr. Moopen stated, “To meet the increasing demand, we aim to provide advanced medical services at the new facility, aligned with the UAE’s Vision 2031 for high-quality healthcare.”

 

Ms Alisha Moopen, Deputy Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare, emphasised the Medcare Royal Hospital’s commitment to offering sophisticated medical care, including advanced neurosurgery, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, and minimally invasive surgery.

 

With its proximity to Dubai International Airport, the hospital is well-positioned to serve patients from other countries, aligning with the commitment to deliver exceptional healthcare outcomes through superior facilities, cutting-edge technology, and clinical expertise.
